Head of Finance – African Continent- Ex Pat opportunityAn exceptional opportunity has arisen for a commercially astute and strategically driven finance leader to join a large-scale international FMCG manufacturing business operating across the African continent.Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Head of Finance will play a critical role in shaping business performance, driving operational excellence, and influencing strategic decision-making across a complex, high-volume manufacturing environment.This is far more than a traditional finance leadership role. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will act as the financial architect of the business and as a strategic business partner will transform operational data into commercial insight, strengthening financial performance, and driving a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.Leading finance, payroll, and IT functions, and managing a large team, you will oversee all aspects of financial planning, forecasting, reporting, governance, risk management, and business partnering within a fast-paced manufacturing operation.£ Excellent + Overseas benefits and expatriate benefits package, including relocation supportKey Responsibilities● Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis● Deliver meaningful commercial insight through advanced variance analysis and KPI reporting● Drive manufacturing cost optimisation, margin improvement, and working capital performance● Partner closely with operational leaders to support strategic and data-driven decision-making● Lead financial risk management across FX, commodities, energy, and market volatility● Oversee CAPEX investment appraisal, ROI analysis, and automation initiatives● Manage statutory reporting, audit, tax, insurance, and governance requirements● Oversee payroll operations for 3,000+ employees● Support digital transformation and continuous process improvement initiatives● Prepare and present board-level financial reporting and strategic insightsAbout You● ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified● 10+ years’ post-qualified experience, including significant senior leadership exposure● Strong background ideally in FMCG / Food or Manufacturing or complex operational environments● Proven expertise in cost accounting, operational finance, forecasting, and business transformation● Strong understanding of ERP systems● Commercially minded with the confidence to challenge, influence, and lead at executive level● Expatriate experience within multinational organisations is highly desirableWhy Apply?This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic and internationally connected manufacturing business where finance sits at the heart of operational and strategic decision making.
