About the RoleTo lead, manage and control a range of ATM Operations, such monitoring, control, ATM cash transit and replenishment and management and ATM technical support in order ensure smooth & efficient operations, error-free processing and a high-quality service is provided to internal and external customers.ResponsibilitiesPolicies, Processes & Procedures: Implements approved departmental policies, processes, procedures, recommends improvements, oversees the implementation and provides instructions to subordinates and monitors their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.Budget: Provides input for the development of departmental budget and monitors performance against approved levels within own area, ensuring any variances are appropriately addressed.Day-to-day operations: Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the ATM Operations to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.ATM Network: Assumes responsibility for managing the ATM/POS network of Riyad Bank and ensures alignment with Operations and Retail business plans. Manages the implementation and activation of ATMs, including new ATM installations, cancellation, relocation and upgrades and monitors the performance of preventive maintenance of ATM terminals in accordance with the Support Services department and existing contractors. Ensures availability and smooth operations of all ATM machines on an ongoing basis and ensures coordinating with vendors for rectifying any operational issues with the machines.Cash Availability: Ensures coordinating with relevant functions to determine the quantum of currency required at each ATM machine and ensures timely cash level replenishment and extraction.Technical Support: Ensures installing, configuring and troubleshooting the hardware/software for the ATM network and performing compatibility testing and deployment of new products, services and security support to ensure efficient and secure service is provided to the bank’s customers.Coordination with the Retail Business: Monitors the usage levels and monitors profitability of the ATM machines in order to take corrective actions (if any). Ensures implementation of corrective actions suggested by the commercial business in order to improve sales. Ensures that the service level abides by the overall service quality standards set for business lines.Outsourcing & Contracts Management: Negotiates and finalizes ATM Operations contracts established with external service providers and ensures that contract terms and conditions provide Riyad Bank with cost beneficial services and are in line with the bank’s overall strategy and policies.External Communication: Manages the relationship with third parties and associations (e.g., MasterCard, Visa) and ensures following up on transactions, requesting information and communicating with other banks in order to ensure all necessary information is gathered for completing the transaction.Operational Efficiency: Continuously works towards improving processing cycle time and service levels for all types of activities to ensure sustainable efficiency in implementation and processing of ATM Operations. Ensures that adequate controls are in place and are implemented through a consistent and streamlined maker-checker structure, in order to achieve error-free processing and high turnaround of service. Ensures archiving of all documents as per the policies and guidelines for sustainable operational efficiency.Direction of Subordinates: Organizes and supervises the activities and work of a team of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of ATM Operations activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner.Continuous Improvement: Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.Reporting: Prepares departmental reports of Riyad Bank timely and accurately to meet the bank and department requirements, policies and standards.Committees and Meetings: Represents the function and actively contributes in various committees/meetings (internal and external) as applicable and per authority levels in order to ensure relevant matters are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.People Management: Ensures all staff have clear objectives, regular performance feedback sessions, formal annual appraisals, and individual development plans, with particular emphasis on the development of talented Saudi national staff. Ensures and facilitates the employment, training and development of Saudi nationals within the organization.Safety, Quality & Environment: Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.Related Assignments: Performs other related duties or assignments as directed. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in IT, business or numerical discipline Minimum Experience:8-10 years relevant experience in Banking Operations including at least 4 years in a managerial / supervisory positionLanguage:English: AdvancedTechnical Knowledge areas: In depth knowledge of banking processes and back office support for ATM and Retail products and servicesBroad understanding of the Bank’s main Operations and core banking systemsThorough knowledge of SAMA and other applicable rules and regulationsBroad understanding of technical support for ATM networks
