About the Role:The Finance Director will be responsible for leading the Finance function, including providing expertise in all financial aspects related to financial planning, financial controlling, accounting, fixed asset management, and treasury activities ensuring alignment with applicable regulations and best practices.Responsibilities:Strategy and Planning:Contribute to the development of Shared Services business plan ensuring alignment with the organization strategyDevelop the operational plan for Finance in line with Shared Services business plan and Enterprise Services strategic planImplement plans and provide input to enable achievement of Finance goals that support the organization overall strategic plansBudget Management:Discuss Finance budgeting requirements with top management and provide input to the budgeting processEnsure effective utilization of Finance budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encounteredInvestigate and propose implementing initiatives that result in positive financial impact for Finance and mitigates financial and operational risksPolicies, Processes and Procedures:Lead the design and implementation of Finance policies and procedures covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high impact and achieving results effectively and efficientlyEncourage team and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account leading practices, improvement of business process, cost reduction and productivity improvementMonitor day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and proceduresRemain abreast of Shared Services leading practice and new trends, and identify recommendations for corrective measures, updates and improvements where requiredFinancial Planning & Control:Provide expertise in setting efficient financial planning guidelines, financial control & reporting framework, and guidelines to ensure alignment with the organization overall strategyGuide the management of departmental budget setting and direct the finalization of the organization overall budget planLead the development of the yearly financial plan and guide the allocation of set budget to secure alignment with budget guidelines and overall budgetOversee proper implementation of all financial control processes and review financial control reports for continuous follow-upAccounting:Oversee accounting activities including payables, receivables, general ledger, fixed assets, and accounts reconciliation ensuring all operations are completed accurately and on timeContinuously review and assess fixed asset register ensuring proper update to keep track of fixed asset statusCheck monthly financial statements and enforce needed corrective actions when discrepancies are identified between actual and estimated budgetTreasury:Guide the development of treasury management guidelines and strategiesMaintain a proper relationship with banks and develop engagement plans to ease communicationManage the organization cash and oversee cash transactions to ensure adequate liquidity and prevent cash shortagesOversee cashflow operations and review variances assessments to advise on ways to enhance performanceOversee identification and assessment of investment opportunities when applicable, ensuring alignment with the organization strategic aspirations and objectivesPeople Management:Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talentGuide, mentor, and support direct reports in order to execute duties according to set policies and processesPerform on-the-job training for direct reports and provide feedbackQualifications:14+ years of professional experience, with at least 4 years of experience in a managerial positionBachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent is requiredMaster’s degree in Finance or equivalent is preferredRequired Skills:Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial control.Proficient in accounts management and reconciliations.Aligns financial operations with business goals.Strong knowledge of financial regulations and policies.Excellent financial data analysis and problem-solving.Engages effectively with stakeholders and leadership.Drives process optimization and efficiency.
